The Town of Burrillville (the Town) will hold an online auction for the sale and redevelopment of real estate currently owned by the Town located at 92 North Main Street, Pascoag, RI 02859 (Map 158 Lot 81)

The Property consists of approximately 0.16 acres. It is developed with a concrete masonry block and brick building that consists of a 1 story single structure with a walkout basement, and paved parking behind the building. The site is zoned VC – Village Commercial.

Municipal water and sewer, and overhead electricity service the site. An oil fired furnace for the building is supplied by a 275 gallon above ground storage tank. The groundwater classification for the site is GAA. The direction of groundwater flow is to the west northwest toward Pascoag River as determined by monitoring wells installed by others.

Prior to the 1950s the site was a vacant wooded lot. The existing building was constructed in 1950. A 550 gallon underground fuel storage tank was removed in 2006.

The property was formerly the site of the Town’s school and administrative services.

The surrounding property use is residential and commercial.

The Town had an environmental study done of the property and it is noted and disclosed that Volatile Organic Compounds were detected in both soil gas and indoor air. Environmental reports are attached for review. Environmental reports were prepared by Environmental Resource Associates, Inc. (reports of January 7, 2021 and May 24, 2021).

Property is adjacent to a retail plaza.
